Glad that's over!

I just had a very stressful week. First to start it off my parents came down last weekend to visit. I haven't been home in like a month and I'm not going home till Thanksgiving so they thought they would come visit me. Well that was all fine and dandy except that I had four exams this week. (ugh...midterms suck!)

Now I'm not one to prepare ahead of time so that I didn't have to do a whole lot of studying while they were here. Ohh no, I like to pressure myself; see how much I can sweat and get close to putting myself into a mental breakdown. I waited until like Friday to start studying for these exams so it was a stressful weekend underneath all the fun I was having. Now looking back, I'm not going to say I would have done it any different cause who am I kidding, I wouldn't have. College is all about procrastination. It teaches us to drive ourselves crazy cause we put it off so long and then get things done in record time. That my friends, is just what I did. The exams went well though. I'm pretty happy with all of them...well as of now. I haven't gotten the grades back but I'll let you know how I feel about them after I see my scores.

Saturday was our friend's 21st birthday. She is like our 8th roomie so that was a lot of fun. It was a house party too, which I haven't been to in years so it made it even better. Her roommates did such a good job of decorating and making the house look good for the party. We had lots of fun and were with her when she used her fake for the last time! Monday was her BIRTHday so we had to go out then too. You can't not go out on the day of your 21st birthday. Using that i.d. for the first time is so much fun! You're invincible with that thing it feels like! You can now get drunk any freakin' place you like and no cop can say a thing to you (well unless you get too rowdy and start causing trouble...which we didn't let her do!) It was even more fun then the house party though. We paid for it the next day though...I wasn't feeling so hot. Good thing I had no exams that day!

Well that's pretty much an update of my life for the most part. I can't think of anything else to write really. I'm not a huge fan of Halloween (well the costume part at least..the rest I like) so I'm not getting too crazy this year. Not going to Madison either. Three years was enough for me...I think I'm over the drunks spilling beer all over me, smoke bombs and handcuffs. I'll save that fun for another weekend!

Have a great Halloween everyone!

Rock me mama like a wagon wheel.....

Well another couple weeks are over. School is school and it's been progressing. My next week is a toughy though... 4 exams in one week! It's like teachers know and they just want to make our lives miserable. That will pretty much take up all my free time from here on out. Ugh..what can you do though.

I had a great weekend in Mayville a couple weeks ago. We went for Audobon Days...which it took us quite some time to figure out just what exactly it is. And, I'm still not quite sure what it is. Something to do with a guy...and autumn coming...and geese. Well, it makes for a good time, I don't particularly care what it stands for. We saw some bed races, I got to see Budhans (the most famous bar of Mayville!), and we saw Vic Ferrari (where Linz commited her first felony...we're so proud!) It was a really good weekend with the girls!

Ohh I had another great experience the other weekend too. I got to be an official wedding crasher. My roommate had to go to this wedding and she didn't want to go alone so I said I would go with her. I knew neither the bride or groom...well I didn't know anyone but my roomie! But I got a great meal (beef tips, red potatoes, bread and stuffing) and free beer! There is nothing more that a college student wants then a good meal and free alcohol. Made my weekend!

The parentals come down this weekend. Hopefully I can get some free food off of them too...I'm sure I will be able to.
I have to work at the Pettit this week, which it's been going pretty well too. I am really starting to like it there. The people I work with are great and the stuff they are having me do I actually don't mind doing because it doesn't involve sitting in front of a computer all day. I feel like I am actually doing something to help improve the facility! This weekend I get to be a 'supervisor'. Not as good as it sounds. I get to follow a speedskater around after their race and make sure they don't trade urine or take pills of any kinds before they are drug tested. And when I say follow, I mean follow. If they work out, if they go to the locker room, if they do anything I am there. My only hope is I get a guy! (fingers crossed!) ha ha

Almost forgot: My title is from a new song I heard...well new to me anyways. It's "Wagon Wheel" by Old Crow Medicine. It's pretty good.
